Working principle

When extended or compressed at certain speed, damping force produced accordingly can dissipate wind shock and ensure tracker run stable and smooth.

Why use shock absorbers or dampers

For a solar farm with tracker or tracking systems, PV modules are allowed turn with the most accurate alignment as the Sun's position shifts and collect optimum sun energy for the longest period of the day and improve power output and lower levelized cost.
However, tracking system can be easily encountered with wind problem. Measures such as external shock absorbers or dampers must be implemented to stabilize the system.
